Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese

1 ½ lbs ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cups French onion soup, condensed

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup Swiss cheese, grated

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.

    Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it into your crockpot.

      Pour the condensed French onion soup over the meatloaf, ensuring it is well covered for moisture and flavor.

        Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatloaf is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 160°F / 70°C).

          In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the grated Swiss cheese over the top of the meatloaf, allowing it to melt beautifully.

            Once cooked, carefully remove the meatloaf from the crockpot, letting it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

              Serve slices warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
