12 mozzarella cheese sticks

12 slices of bacon

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

      In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

        Take a mozzarella stick and wrap it tightly with one slice of bacon, ensuring the ends are tucked in. This prevents the cheese from leaking out while frying. Repeat for all mozzarella sticks.

          Dip each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick first into the seasoned flour, making sure to coat it thoroughly, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

            Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until hot. Carefully add the mozzarella sticks in batches, frying until the bacon is crispy and golden brown, around 3-4 minutes.

              Once cooked, place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet and keep them warm in the preheated oven while you fry the remaining sticks.

                Serve hot, and for an extra kick, drizzle with a spicy ranch or serve with a side of hot sauce!
